Marek Wakar MBA

Marek brings a combination of strategy, implementation and line management experience at a senior level to help provide clients with practical solutions to strategic issues relating to distribution, operations and organisation. Example assignment and roles are:

  • changing distribution models, including restructuring of a large direct salesforce, evaluation of Bancassurance businesses, and management of IFA support operations
  • advising plc and business unit Boards on strategic issues, including M&A, business unit performance, internal reorganisations of business units, and shareholder reporting
  • restructuring of large organisations, including centralisation of the sales support operations for both an IFA and a DSF, design of a post-merger business model for three General Insurance businesses, change to a Life company’s complete organisation structure, and outsourcing of a closed Life book
  • managing operations during times of change, including an entire business unit and operations of up to 350 people in size, centralising processes, maintaining morale and restoring service standards

Before joining Moreda, Marek has worked within business units, at plc level, and as an external consultant. Former employers are Accenture and the Lloyds Abbey Life group (Abbey Life, Lloyds Abbey Life plc, Lloyds Bank Insurance Services, Lloyds TSB General Insurance, and Ambassador Insurance).
